The Lenovo 10 inch 3G Yoga tablet is an inexpensive and good looking 10” tablet. Costing around £200, however, certain sacrifices have been made to ensure that buyers can enjoy a quad core processor, a 10” display, and a good looking tablet. The screen has fairly low pixel density and although the speakers are not particularly great, they are front facing which makes a refreshing change in a tablet. If you want to play a few games, keep updated with your emails, and browse the web, and are looking for a cheap tablet, then the Lenovo 10 inch 3G Yoga tablet may be a solid choice.
One of the best features of the Yoga tablet is its design. It isn’t quite the box design of most other tablets, because it has a curved bottom when held in landscape. This is to allow for the addition of the kickstand, which is another useful feature when you are watching media or reading something on the screen while sat at your desk. It also has an attractive and nice felling metal finish.
In terms of hardware specifications, the Yoga has a 1.2GHz quad core processor. There are certainly better processors on the market, but considering the price range, this can be considered a decent processor for the money. It may struggle with some of the very latest games, and browsing can become choppy depending on the types of media that appear on a page, but these problems should be relatively few and far between.
Very few tablets offer front facing speakers, which is odd considering the ways in which most people will use the speakers on these devices. This is one area where the Lenovo Yoga excels, and the front facing nature of the speakers actually makes up for the fact that the speakers themselves, although Dolby in name, are not as impressive as can be found in other devices. Overall, however, the sound is not displeasing and should be loud enough for general tablet use.
Storage And Data
As well as the standard 16GB model, there is also a 32GB model, and both offer a microSD card slot that enables you to increase storage by up to another 64GB. The inclusion of 3G means that you can insert a SIM card and enjoy mobile data and access to the mobile Internet too, making this a truly mobile tablet.
There are a few problems with the Lenovo 10 inch 3G Yoga tablet, but considering the price, this is hardly surprising. What’s more, the attractive design and decent hardware stand up well to similarly priced, competing tablet devices, making this a solid choice as a budget, large tablet.
